Life of Christ praised by critics for popular approach

A contemporary review praises Dr. Farrar’s Life of Christ as scholarly yet accessible, balancing biblical science with devotional impact. It contrasts with German translations and other works, noting Farrar’s training, Holy Land study, and use of Palestinian imagery to illuminate Gospel text. The article also defends the book against a harsh critique in a respected periodical.
