An 1850 advertisement from bookseller J Sérgent reports Dr Locock’s Pulmonic Wafers easing a long cough and chest oppression for Mr Mitchell of Abingdon. The notice touts taste, pricing, and agents Da Silva and Co at Bride Lane London, warns against imitation pills, and promotes female use.
