Provisions update from Treland and foreign ports
The arrivals last week from Treland were 1267 firkins butter and 171 bales bacon, plus 6877 casks of butter from foreign ports. The butter market is in low spirits with very low prices. Dutch has advanced to 106s per cwt. Bacon shows a 1s to 2s per owt rise. prices range 35s to 40s landed, quality dependent. Hams and lard have a slow sale.
