Unified Supreme Court proposed for England Ireland reform
A government proposal seeks to merge the divided courts into a single Supreme Court of Judicature with four divisions and a parallel appellate court. It would absorb Lancashire and create a High Court of original and appellate jurisdiction, transfer much business from existing courts, and implement streamlined rules to reduce delay and cost without immediate ecclesiastical changes.
