Oswestry polling oddities and temperance talks noted
At Oswestry a voter from Leitrim caused a scene in the polling booth accusing Mr. Leighton of an illegal vote while Mr. Ormsby Gore was observed voting. Ellesmere reported a farmer bragging of marking Leighton. A Bristol clergy conference on intemperance discussed causes and remedies with no resolutions. Scattered statistics on drunkenness in Scotland and a Derby plan on land ownership are also cited.
