Dublin correspondent reports the General Synod of the Disestablished Church of Ireland convened in Synod Hall for a new three year session. The newly elected assembly shows many individual changes though core elements remain the same.
A large public meeting on disestablishment and disendowment of England and Scotland’s Established Churches was held at the Young Men's Christian Institute hall in Aberdeen. Delegates from the Liberation Society including Dr Hutton Mr Oliver and Mr Goodrich attended.
