Diverse Congregational Meetings Across Regions

A long list of ministers and lay leaders from numerous churches held public meetings and congregational gatherings across towns such as Gosport, Red Lion Square, Devonshire Square, and Nottinghamshire. Election of delegates in Eprozurca at Rose Street church

A public meeting in Rose Street secession church on the 10th inst. elected delegates to attend the Anti-state church Conference. Bailie Wilkie chaired. Mr Campbell moved that state churches are indefensible on religious grounds and oppose civil liberties. John Dunlop supported the resolution asserting Christianity opposes state principle.

Anti state church movement dominates dissenters meet

Reports from meetings in Leicester Melrose Greenock and Dundee show dissenters uniting to oppose state establishment of religion. Delegates are appointed to a London conference with aims to dissolve church state ties and promote religious liberty across Scotland England and Ireland.
