Review of Educational Texts and Readers for Schools
The article surveys a range of school histories and science and art texts. It notes uneven value in histories and praises clear arrangement and affordable, compact editions. It commends Taylor's Words and Places, Holy Lessons in Arithmetic, and Murley’s Geology manual, among others, for their suitability to examinations and teaching. It highlights cheap prices, robust bindings, and authorial competence, while flagging minor issues like a misprint in Rossiter’s Theoretical Mechanics.
