Copper Camp at Apen Grove Nears Railway Access
Eight years after the first stake at Apen Grove, the copper camp covers about a hundred square miles with many claims. Geologists agree it is one of the west’s finest copper areas though transport costs hindered development. The railway and wagon road plans may unlock its potential as capital returns, with native copper assays around 7 percent and ore often 5 to 55 percent copper. The Nicola Herald plans a detailed camp description for readers.
