Timber Licences Petition To Extend Renewal Life
The British Columbia Timber and Forestry Chamber of Commerce plans to petition the provincial government to extend the renewal life of timber licenses beyond twenty-one years. Dr Judson F Clark says the move would protect Crown and timber interests, prevent rushed logging, and avert future forest fires and economic ruin. The association will present resolutions at a meeting in O Brien Hall next Wednesday night for government approval.

Granby to Reopen Mines and Smelter in December
Granby Consolidated, owner of large copper mines at Phoenix and the major Canadian smelter, will reopen on December 5th for the mines and two to three days later for the smelter.
