The Nicola Herald reports Ottawa’s voting rights amendment sparks criticism of Laurier for disenfranchisement. It contrasts BC optimism with railway, mining, and fruit-growth gains, and notes Kipling’s controversial Canadian letters critiquing English views.
The notice dated April 80 1907 amends bounty rules for panthers and wolves killed in the province. From February 1 1908 a bounty of 15 dollars will be paid for each panther or wolf killed, subject to stated conditions. By command Henry Esson Young Provincial Secretary Office January 13 1908.
After sixty days from first publication John E. Bate of Aspen Grove Yale district BC plans under the River and Streams Act to improve Coldwater river from its junction with Nicola river to Railroad Pass about 25 miles. Aim to clear obstructions and make the river fit for logs and rafting and to collect tolls. Lands affected include Coldwater river Voght creek and multiple Lots and Indian reservations with coal licenses. Dated February 28 1908.

Description begins at a post in the southwest corner four miles upstream from Speons Creek mouth and runs 80 chains each way to form a rectangle.
