Murder in Elite Theatre prompts police pursuit

In San Francisco at the Elite Theatre on Geary and Grant Avenue, George Rice, owner, was killed by Joe Wallace an ex policeman. Wallace who had been discharged for bribes fired four shots as Rice admitted him as a special officer. Wallace surrendered after the shooting and is detained. Rice leaves a widow employed in the dive.
