Petitions Galore At New Denver Meeting
About 150 residents met in New Denver to discuss mail service reforms hospital plans and local politics. A strong deputation was ordered for the Postmaster General and others while a hospital resident physician was debated and a voters list committee formed. The meeting also denounced the Nakusp and Slocan railway time checks and planned future gatherings. Local social notes mention a fire at Archer building, railway time check kiosks, and townsite news as well as church and Sunday School organization with Rev James Turner preaching and new leadership formed.
