A notice in a 18th century style advertises a respectable country household near London seeking a gentleman with a servant for board and companionship. Letters directed to Mr Brown in Bridge Street near Blackfriars Bridge reference a meeting and inquiry into character, with a promise of reciprocal satisfaction.
Aworth No 8 Queens Ann street offers advance money on bills notes mortgages and annuities with security for real and personal property. It promises 4 to 14 percent safely and legally and can arrange private consultations at customers homes or via post.
At a December meeting of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Manufactures directors led by Henry Riddell the panel considers Parliament opening trade after the East India Company Charter expires. They argue for ending exclusive rights, favor free trade with distant regions, and predict benefits to industry, government revenues, and British manufactory.
An elaborate entertainment titled The Quizes Or A Trip To Elysium will be staged this evening at the Sans souci opposite Beaufort Buildings Strand by Lord Chamberlain authority. Notes inspection and that goods are cheaper than other London warehouses for ready money.
