On December 31 1928 at JLO YD S the meeting chaired by the Lord Mayor condemned Hoskin and Russell for fraudulently obtaining returns on policies. The Historical Argument Considered on Catholic Power
An 1829 Monthly Magazine critique argues that papal authority has long chained Liberty in England and Europe. It cites Alfred, Magna Charta, and Edward I as proofs that reform and self-government arose despite Rome, not because of it, and asserts Protestant nations show greater political freedom. The piece insists modern Catholic influence hinders national vigor and advocates continued Protestant liberty.

West Port Murders Traced Through an Infamous Gang
An authentic narrative outlines Burke and his confederates in the West Port killings. It details the lure of a visiting elderly woman, deceptive hospitality, covert confinement, and a drunken sequence culminating in the discovery and concealment of a murdered woman named Campbell. Neighbors suspected nothing until a search revealed the grisly straw bed finding, followed by elusion and hurried bribes as authorities were alerted.
