Owen U Flack reports a judgment by the Lonp Cuaxcerion confirming the master of the rolls decision. The day proceeds with lunatic petitions, listing and processing.
Vice-Chancellor refused to disturb the master’s report in Ex-Parte Hall. In Ex-Parte Schofield the court moved to rescind an order for action against the bankrupt, debating trading and coal mining and directing depositions be opened. The court eventually ordered the bankrupt to sue for damages, with notices at the Lancashire assizes. The Admiralty Court also heard a related fire-setting case culminating in a life sentence after a dramatic trial.
In Chelmsford before Mr Justice Park a young man Edward Potts aged nineteen faced felonious fire charges at Witham as crowds filled the court for the Witham fires case. The article recounts a hostile night watch, matches, a hay stack blaze and a long confession detailing fires near Catchpole's hay stacks and other locations.
Testimony showed Samuel King obtained parcels of snuff cigars and other goods valued at 161 pounds from Lundy Foot and Co in Vine Street Minories. King kept some items, denying delivery, while a boy named Malkin testified that more parcels were taken. King and associates were fully committed after defense failed to secure bail.
A coroner's inquest at the Mitre Blackfriars road found the six month old child suffocated by its mother in a case where the mother was seen distressed and absent from the scene. The jury returned a verdict of death by suffocation by the mother unintentionally. A second inquest followed for George Maycock, nineteen, drowned in the Thames. Witnesses described a body found with bruises and items in the pocket and concluded accidental drowning.

Importations since Monday include English wheat and barley, foreign wheat, barley, and oats, plus sacks of flour.
