Miniota Students Receive $1405 in Scholarships
Four Miniota Collegiate pupils earned a total of 1405 in scholarships and bursaries for the 1961 62 term. Linda Leland received the First Isbister Entrance Scholarship 155 along with the Queen Elizabeth Government bursary 200 and the Agents Association bursary 250. Helen Long got the United Church Women's bursary 306 and a Government bursary 200.

Miniota W I Meet Highlights Local Women's Work and Guest Speak
The Miniota W I met at the Community Centre on September 14 with guest speaker Mrs. J C Cory of Virden discussing Retarded Children and Virden School for the Mentally Retarded. The Red Cross convenor announced sewing and knitting orders, the library is stored at Mrs A McKean's home, and the coffee maker was approved for use by organizations and individuals with responsibility for any damage. Miniota School Board approves transportation and staffing changes
The Miniota School District Board met September 12 1962 at the Municipal Office. They approved several route changes and fare adjustments for routes to Beulah Isabella Miniota and Two Creeks, set the teacherage rent at 45 dollars per month, accepted a resignation and appointed a replacement, issued a bidding call for foul line deliveries, planned a social evening for teachers, and authorized account payments totaling over 16 thousand dollars for June July and August.
