Centennial Youth Travel program expands across Canada
The Centennial Commission funds and coordinates Federal Provincial Youth Travel with 4000 plus participants in 160 groups this year and over 8000 since 1964. Provinces select schools, administer student escorts, and arrange host receptions while Voluntary Youth Travel adds grants to private agencies. The program aims to foster nation wide understanding and firsthand knowledge of provinces and cultures through student exchanges.
