Minot W.I. Holds Meeting With Community News
Minot Women’s Institute met at the Community Centre with good attendance. Roll call was My Favourite Flower. Plans included a Blind Institute tag day, a Cancer Research tag day in October, library books on hand for one more month, and a leadership course delegate submission. A flower arrangement demonstration and corsage lesson were enjoyed.

Rural council met Friday with Reeve presiding and all members present. The board offered to settle voice No 9240 with Manitoba Telephone System on a 50 50 basis. Exemption requested by Canadian National Railways from fencing on right of way as per plan dated July 12 1951. Wards charged 6 per hour for Cats and Scraper at government rate. Joined Manitoba Good Roads Association with 15 membership fee. Requested inspection follow up for ashes removal and dairy milk delivery premises restaurants and slaughter houses. Leased NE 25-13-27 to Sen Bryant for three years 1952 34 annual rent 20. Leased portion north of Minnewashta Creek on SW 31-14-27 to Brian G Cooper for 1952 3 4 rent equal to taxes and subject to sale. Adjournment.
