Mrs Smith and Family Move to Barrett Home

Mrs M Smith and two sons arrived from LaRiviere and reside at the Wm Barrett home. She teaches at Miniota school, a post she held years ago. Mr and Mrs Barrett and Myrna Barrett left for Winnipeg. Barrett will report for duty in the forces and Mrs Barrett will visit her parents in St Vital.

Miniota W I Shower Honors Mrs Ward and Myrna

The Miniota Women’s Institute held a miscellaneous shower for Mrs Olive Ward at Mrs J Spalding’s home on Friday afternoon. Gifts included a cut glass water set and a blue muslin dress for Myrna Barrett. A verse address by Miss Kallie Lynch followed by a vocal duet, a solo, and a light lunch closed the pleasant event.

Cpl and Mrs G Dodds and son John of Trenton visit Hl D Armitage home. Mrs Dodds will stay a while. Mrs J King also returned from Winnipeg and other points last week.
