Four ships arrive within a week at Vancouver with silk from the Orient valued at over 20 million dollars for transshipment to New This. The Canada Colonization Association reports 401 families settled on 97,944 acres in six months of 1927. Obituary for Eliza Grace Cowling
Eliza Grace Cowling daughter of Mr and Mrs Dan Cowling died after an accident on Monday September 5. A piece of iron struck her eye and penetrated the skull during corn cutting for silo. She was 4 years 10 months and 23 days old. Funeral by Rev W T Brady at Crandall cemetery followed by large attendance and heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
