Notice for Miniota United Church annual supper on Tuesday October 27 from 5 p m. Pre school children admitted free under 14 50 cents, adults 1 00. Proceeds support church activities.
Notice to creditors for the estate of William Herwitt Kirton a farmer of Maniotoba Manitoba deceased. All claims must be sent to the undersigned at Hamiota Manitoba on or about November 23 1959 AD.

The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held a meeting on October 14 1959 with seven trustees M Pratt and Mr Funk presiding. Motions adopted minutes of September 26 first reading of By-Law 5/59 increasing debenture interest Mowbray Hodson mileage Alf McFarlane route and 60c per day for Edward McDonald transport. adjournment set for October 21. Carried.
Members of the W I gathered at the Community Centre to note Manitoba industry during roll call. Topics included Tweedsmuir Competitions, Red Cross work, hospital aid, traveling library books due by November 1, and UNICEF card orders.
Funeral conducted by Rev W H Gregory for Annie Irene Ellerington who died in Winnipeg on October 9 preceded by a long battle with tuberculosis. Burial at Miniota cemetery with pallbearers Charles Armitage Roy Currie Larry Walker Harold Forsyth Vernon Leyland Wes McKenzie and flower bearers Brodie Currie. Survived by mother two brothers Chris and Charles Miniota sister Mrs Bruce Thornton with distant attendees from Swan River and Glenlochar area.
Mrs Mary Doyle announces the engagement of her daughter Margery Jean to Charles Gregory Cloake youngest son of Mr and Mrs Wm Cloake of Craik Saskatchewan. The wedding is set for Beulah United Church November 7 at 4 PM.
Hamiota Community Credit Union shows ongoing expansion with 159 members after 15 months of operation. Started with 34 members and 360 in shares, it now holds over 21 000 in savings, has issued 59 loans totaling 33 733 with a 0.66 percent rate on unpaid balances.
