Mr A Frazer of Beulah to sell by public auction his entire herd of registered Shorthorn cattle on his farm one mile south and two miles east of Beulah at one o clock on Tuesday October 21. J G McConnell of Hamiota is the auctioneer.
Auction at 1 p.m. on Friday October 20 offers six horses twenty eight head of cattle a McCor Deering tractor on steel two Wheatland eight foot one way disc implements three portable granaries and household effects. See bills for details.
Mrs Dave Lloyd visits her mother Mrs J Riog and Geo Bruce Jr a patient in Hamiota hospital with double pneumonia is improving. The Junior Boys Seed Club Fair is set for October 31 at Miniots with outside clubs. Weekend visitors included A F MacKinnon Deloraine G Fotheringham Audrey MacPherson Winnipeg and A C Stewart. J C Vradenburgh takes a three week car trip to the U S A. H D Revell of Winnipeg oversees the bank during the manager's absence. Dry column votes on October 24 will decide if three municipalities favor dry or wet. A new residence rises at east end of north Railway Ave. Chas Boyce moves into a house east of John Leland's. A new business building goes up east of L S Hodnett store for Mr Shewchuk. The W I room in the brick school hosted a shower for Miss Kallie Lynan with about fifty attendees. Address to the guest was read by Mrs Wm Woods. gifts filled a miniature house and were given by Sandra Spalding Myrna Barrett and Patsy Hodnett with thanks by Kallie. A social lunch followed.
Miniota W I met on Thursday with Mrs W E McDonald as president. A Mystery Program featured a Household Question and Culinary Quiz. Mrs Chalmers spoke on African Violets, with a district board session report by Mrs Roy Leland. Gifts were presented to Mrs F Hall and Mrs J A Wiens, a salad contest crowned all entries equal, meals planned for the Seed Club Fair, and a social lunch concluded.
