Dr and Mrs R K Chalmers along with Mrs W Jaylor and Mrs 5 D Taylor spent the weekend in Regina. Mr and Mrs Wes Holtsman and family of Keletern Sask are visiting at the Wm Leland home in town.
Shamrock Lard deals at M The Groceteria and a Winnipeg Brandon fare excursion announced by the CPR. Holy Trinity W A hosts a successful silver tea sale. John Strachan loses a hay stack by fire and granary oats burned. Thefts reported during town visits and auction sales. Rev D A B Stoddart dies in Vancouver aged 76. survived by wife six daughters and one son. One daughter Margaret once on local school staff.
Cecil Cullyer left Saturday for Vancouver to visit. Evyniia Shier of Brandon spent the weekend in town. Rens Murdock left Sunday for Calgary to attend business college. Rev J D McNair preached in Isabella on Sunday. Suction sale at Albert Findlays Wednesday at 1 p.m. Mr and Mrs C Douglas of Clenora spent the week ending the district. Jas Douglas Sr returned with them health improving. Mr and Mrs J W Beer and Junior with Lloyd Borland and Shirley Johnson spent the weekend in the district. Evening auxiliary met last Tuesday at Mrs R Jance home with 12 present. The first chapter of Men Land Women of the Far Horizon was dramatized by four members. The W A S held a union meeting Thursday in the church parlor with Mrs J D MacNair presiding. Mrs Simmie of Sarsirth was guest speaker on the WMS convention in Toronto. Visitors from Minota Arrow River and Blairs attended.
About 75 listeners heard Millar and Saskatchewan CCF leader Mr Williams address economic issues in Canada. Williams spoke on banking grain trade and debt adjustment, while Doyle chaired. The talk touched on relief camps and the need for responsible citizenship amid unrest.
