After elections the Western constituency of Marquette favored De Roche. With the Premier elect to form a new cabinet, reports suggest the doctor will receive a cabinet post, a move seen as favorable by both reformers and supporters.
Mr Purves of Beulah attended the Jubilee Singers concert in Muota j on Wednesday. Grain shipments priced with 75 percent advance on the bill of lading, inquiries directed to Geo. Cornish and W. J. Bettin.
The Williams Jubilee Singers drew a good audience with a mixed program of negro camp meeting songs and vaudeville interludes. Notable performances came from Mrs Hockley and Mr Johnson with Mrs Green and Mrs Williams praised, while Miss Hattie Hobs on piano kept the show from stalling. The company, considered the best yet for Jubilee singers, promises a crowded house if they return.
