The notice lists events for December including an Anglican bazaar and A J Lelands auction sale on the fourth, the Miniota School concert on the seventeenth, and an Anglican Christmas tree on the twenty second.

Mrs. C Stone of Rapid City visited the Barrett home over the weekend. The Local Association of the Girl Guides will meet in December at the home of Mrs. Copland.

Legion Branch Thanks Public for Poppy Day Support

The Comrades of the local Legion branch express thanks for the generous response to the Poppy Day appeal. Gross receipts totaled about 58 dollars.

United Church Ladies' Aid Bazaar Draws Busy Crowd

One of the town's most successful bazaars, staged by the United Church Ladies' Aid, filled stalls with fancy work, candy, and baking. The silver tea was well patronized and about $100 was realized.

Holy Trinity W A annual meeting elects officers

The Holy Trinity W A held its annual meeting at Mrs P C Watts home. Officers elected include President Mrs P C Watts Vice President Mrs K R M Oliver Secretary Mrs J J Henderson Treasurer Mrs P Leam Dore as Secretary Mrs H H Spencer Visiting and Little Helpers Miss M Jean Kenderson. A bazaar is planned for December 4.

Curling Club Elects Officers For Season

The Curling Club met on Wednesday evening and elected officers led by President J. D. Forsyth and Vice President A. Kerr. Secretary treasurer J. Spalding and Chaplain Rev. G. A. McMillan were also chosen. The club plans a mixed bonspiel to start the season and invites members to sign up with A. Spalding. No skips named. Ladies to curl three nights weekly.

Women’s Missionary Society Meets at Vradenburgh Home

The W M S gathered at Mrs J C Vradenburgh’s residence Wednesday afternoon with 18 attendees. November’s theme was A worshipping church, read by Mrs T Long, with scripture passages by Miss H Koch, and Chapter 2 retold by Mrs G Reynolds. Officers elected: President Mrs G Reynolds, Vice President Mrs J Stowe, Secretary Mrs R K Chalmers, Treasurer Mrs J Vradenburgh.
