Murray Collier of Port Arthur Ontario visited at his home here last week. Word came Friday of the passing of Dan Cowlings brother Thomas of Fort William Ontario. funeral held November 24, 1958. Mr and Mrs A McKean return from New Westminster visit. Mrs K Lees will visit. Mrs J Cook in Winnipeg to meet Mr Cook returning from a three month holiday to Withorn Scotland.

Obituary for Hiram Wright and local notices
The funeral for Hiram Wright was held Friday November 21 with burial at Mimiota Cemetery. Rev A M Watts presided and pallbearers included H G Forsyth Les Horner D Stewart L Craig E J Spalding and C J Page. Wright born October 2 1875 in Ontario was long a Reeder district resident and spent time in Winnipeg before moving to Mimiota about fifteen years ago. Surviving are a brother Bert Rocanville and sister Florence Davies Los Angeles. He retired after thirty two years with Canadian National Railways Western Division Maintenance of Way. During WWII he served four years on active duty. A separate note mentions a lost Hereford cow near Hospital Tache St between Decker and Boniface with a 1200 lb heifer branded L on the right, search for owner. The text also covers a mission band meeting with stamps to buy books for a Trinidad school and milk for an Angola hospital plus planned Christmas clothing and toy drives for Indigenous aid and a World Friends quiz excerpt.

Explorers group forms and funeral service noted at church
Miss E Reynolds spoke to explorers and WMS members on awards and Sunday School. Four new explorers earned red stars while others received blue and gold stars. Funeral for Mrs. Sharpe held in Miniota with numerous pallbearers and out-of-town attendees.
