At a Tuesday meeting the Minjota Amateur Dramatic Society was organized with Manager H. C. L. Broadhurst and an executive committee including P. Harrison Beal and Fred H. Warrener. Scenic Artist is R. Purves. The society plans to stage Sweet Lavender in January next.
The Board of Trade held last Friday and again Wednesday with many topics, including incorporation. A five member committee was formed to study the issue and report next meeting. A councillor candidate pledged to push village improvements and fund them, while committees were sent to visit candidates and handle other discussed items. The group praised current progress and aimed to further village welfare.
The West gains seven seats increasing from twenty seven to thirty four with new faces from Saskatchewan and Alberta while Manitoba retains only a few old members. Old members like John Crawford and Theodore Burrows depart. Glen Campbell and Arthur Meighen among others join, and notable returns include Maitland McCarthy and Frank Oliver in their familiar roles. The Victoria constituency reelects W H White as part of broader shifts in the new House.
