Community church and youth group activities in the district
The Explorers met in the United church with 10 present for a program on Exploring our Home and a new Woodwork project. The Mission Band gathered Friday with 52 members for pictures, stories of Lachine home near Montreal, and a $3000 contribution. A Saturday session featured Rev. Wilbur Howard on Christian Education with film and discussion. Pie social and dance at Ross school capped the week with farewells for departing residents and gift presentations to Mr and Mrs Webster and Mr and Mrs Sazaras.
