Miss Marion Lenderson visits with friends in Wioni Peg while Miss Irene Gurry of Whitewood Sask paid a visit to the Curry home last weekend.
Rural Municipality of Miniota holds first and second readings for By law 20 of School District 149. Electors vote Friday November 30 1928 at designated Ward locations to levy 1 mill for ten years to fund new buildings equipment and other capital needs. Voting hours nine to five with officials set to tally results and view the by law copy at Miniota Municipal Hall through December 1 1928.
G. V. Henderson and Mr and Mrs McKay of Strathclair were in the district for Sunday rest, visiting local residents and taking part in informal calls.
Crushed oyster shells and a $2.25 per sack price are noted. A. Spencer and Charles Ellerington left for Winnipeg to buy cattle. Miss Elia Robinson returned from Spokane and other western coast cities. Beulah’s Wilfred's church held a large sale raising about $170. Local people travel, attend Masonic socials, and look forward to races if the weather permits. Miniota groups discuss prize lists, Armistice readings, and school programs. The Miniota Horticultural Society met with a deficit, voting to raise annual dues to $1.00. Officers were elected and a director slate was announced.
