Centennial birthday for Belmont woman Granny Deedy
A Manitoba note highlights Mrs. Sarah Deedman of Belmont celebrating her 100th birthday with a centennial tribute. The column weaves in playful quips about Winnipeg policing uniforms, a defamation suit by a defeated Metro council candidate, and light commentary on topics from saints to women referees in soccer. It also mentions Golden Boy Award recipient J. A. David of Killarney and a remark about noble titles, mingling local lighthearted items with broader chatter.
