The United Church Ladies Aid sponsored a unique Friday evening program in Steinbach. Mrs. G Stowe and others read James Whitcomb Riley verses, with tableau scenes, solos, duets and choruses by local performers led by Rev G A McMillan. Proceeds reached about half a hundred.
