Remembrance Service Held. W I and Legion Involvement

Crandall visitors Mrs J M Curll from Brandon and Mrs Ralph Moore of Winnipeg joined district friends. The Women’s Auxiliary met with Mrs FE Hara presiding and raised funds including 108.20 from a supper and 50 to the church board. A Remembrance service occurred Tuesday led by Revs H Bowman and W Bill. guest speaker Rev H L Newton spoke on the theme The.

Memorial service and wreath lay at Cenotaph and Miniota

The service concluded at the Cenotaph with Reeve JR Lynch placing a wreath. The Just Post and Reveille were founded by J W Horner and a lament was piped by E Carnegie. After, comrades and visitors were served lunch by the ladies. A brief ceremony and wreath at Miniota followed.

Farmers Urged to Bring Soldering Jobs to Barnett

Woods and Dorothy Woods depart for Treherne home

E H Woods and Dorothy left for their new home at Treherne after a farewell party held by Miniota Masonic lodge members where Woods received a pen and pencil set. Dorothy was honored at a tea by her Sunday School Class and given a parting gift. Mrs Woods learned of her father's death in Grand Forks North Dakota and departed immediately. J C Vradenburgh to occupy the Woods residence and W H Harlin to manage the store.

Dorothy Fay Armitage and Gunner James Alexander King R C A wed at Sturgeon Creek United Church Winnipeg on October 25 with Rev G A McMillan officiating. Attendants included Miss Winifred King and AC2 Keith Armitage. Post ceremony reception at 142 Glendale Blvd and plans show the couple residing at 1122 Rosemount Ave Fort Garry.
