Roy al Northest Mounted Police sergeant Cochran visited our town over a horse dispute involving James Cusack who bought a mare from William Cowan. A lien note disputed ownership, Cusack and Constable Potter seized the mare, Cusack later arrested in Moosovia to await trial after authorities pursued a warrant. The horse was found secured in a butcher’s lock and key.
