Rev F C Whittington Curate in Charge conducts Sunday School at 1 a m and Evening Sermon at 7 20 p m with proceedings listed for Holy Trinity Church Miniota in the weekly notice.
Local items report Miss Ida Printz visiting Mrs V Kilback in Melville and attendees at a Brandon hearing of the Public Utilities Commission about Telephone Long Distance Tolls. The Miniota area enjoyed a busy week with cinema programs Monte Carlo Nights and Royal Cavalcade at Crandall, a large Shoal Lake baseball tournament, and a District Divine Service marking the 116th anniversary of the Order. Rev F C Whittington and Mrs Whittington will leave Miniota next month with his ordination at Brandon on June 16.
Miniota council met with full membership. They discussed tax sale title for E g4 14 27 and by laws on Crandall lots 9 and 10, block 3. Appointments include Arrow River cemetery caretaker J M Elliott and parcel leasing for three years. Exemptions granted for Soldier’s Taxation Relief Act and old age pension starting May first. Public nuisance ground transfer requested. next meeting called by the Reeve.
