The Municipal District plans a large athletic program for youths including basketball and baseball tournaments. Beulah hosts a Municipal Schools Field Day on Friday June 29 with a basket picnic and a small 23 cent admission for adults, pupils admitted free.
A Standing Crop and Summerfalow Competition will be held by the Miniota Agricultural Society provided that sufficient entries are received on or before May 31st, 1923. Entry fee for each $3.00. J. Spalding, Sec.-treas.
Thursday this week is a public holiday and stores will be closed. Union church had no service on Sunday due to the pastor's indisposition. A playful note asks readers about a Straw Hat. W L Hodnett reports Earl Elsworth left for Winnipeg after working in Watts' garage. A D Hogg of Moosomin is helping in the garage.
The district mourns the death of Mrs Angus Craig after a paralytic stroke struck while nursing at the Gow home. She passed at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, leaving a husband, five sons and four daughters, plus six sisters and four brothers. A funeral service was held at Arrow River church and cemetery, led by Rev. Brady, honoring a devoted mother and early settler born in 1869 in Huron County, Ontario.
The Angus Craig family thanks friends and relatives for kindness shown during their recent bereavement.
