The notice urges farmers to protect costly implements and livestock from rain by maintaining roofs and housing. Dry hay and grain are essential, and preserving buildings is a prudent, cost saving plan under high prices.
Sunday Anglican service at 7 30 p m and tea at A E Coultry’s this afternoon. Local visits include Rev BR Fairbaine and Mrs Gemmel. Miniota school graduation events feature Miss Haig notes and a large program with tableaux duets choruses and Shakespeare prize. A Blenheim picnic set for June 15 and Women’s Institute home cooking sale May 28.
A son was born Saturday May 13 at Two Creeks to Mr and Mrs Chas Maxfield. The infant weighs and health status are reported as good.
The Post Office and Bank will close on Wednesday next for Victoria Day. The Ladies Aid of the Presbyterian Church plans to serve meals on Miniota Sports Day. Mrs C E Somerset returned last Saturday from Carrievale. Miss E Dorsey and Miss J McCreary of Brandon visit Mr and Mrs T A Neclin.
