Mr and Mrs JJ Stowe visited relatives in Deloraine last weekend. Mr Sigurdson of Riverton visited with his daughter Mrs P Leam. Mrs Kelly Mix E Kelly and H Chalmers were weekend visitors to Pipetone.
Oakner School Girls Softball lost to local opponents with McLennan officiating. The Women’s Auxiliary met led by Mrs A Dickey to plan a future gathering at Mrs T Hamilton’s home. The Tennis Club reorganized naming officers led by Mrs R Vance with a $10 membership fee. A league lawn tennis event opens the season with a May 26 tournament.
Isabella notes Wallace returning on 3 march from a visit to Brandon. Mr and Mrs W H Miller are visiting at Glasstone and Winn.
Rev. Bowman will attend the Presbytery meeting in Clanwilliam this week and invites the public to the combined Mothers Day Service on Sunday evening. A programme featuring Mesdames Irisbin Bowman Kennedy and Brad is planned. Delegates Bowman Kennedy and Brad will attend the W M S Conference in Newdale Thursday and Friday this week.

Mr and Mrs James Still celebrate their Golden Wedding with a family gathering at Heulah. A noon dinner featured a two tiered cake while Isabella residents presented a heartfelt address. The couple married May 6 1884 in Greenwood Ontario and later moved to Miniota Manitoba.
