The group held its last meeting in the church parlor opening and closing with Devotion. Proceeds from a recent concert were voted to the Church and Mesean. Arrangements were made for a hike later. Miss J MacKinnon spoke on Vita hospital and Miss K Lynch read a story. A very nice meeting and la preceastial.
The Pool owes its members $5,593,527.33 in two amounts including $2,815,009.61 in interest. A corporate entity in Canada failed to contribute to the pool as required.
Gordon Coleman, foreman at Dumas Saskatchewan, will move his family to the new location this week and leave for Dumas on Friday. A Special Mother's Day Service is planned at Miniota United Church Sunday School at 11 a.m. on Sunday May 10 with the Y P U in charge. all are invited.
United Stores, Ltd. and Mimieta announce a May salvage car run to collect scrap iron and steel. Helpers will be notified when a car is available and truck owners are urged to assist loading from multiple areas. Collection depots include Miniota old school and Wythe's garage with rags papers magazines cardboard and rubber listed.
