They accepted Joyce Niznowski’s resignation effective March 31, approved wage adjustments for drivers, funded $25 in Birdtail River Fine Arts Festival advertising, set 1964 financial budget at 12.5 mills, approved Budget No. 2/64, and adjourned to meet March 10 at 7:30 p.m.

Manitoba Announces Pasture Improvement Aid Program
Manitoba government approves a six year pasture improvement policy with 2 40 amine herbicide for brush and weed control. ARDA and federal funds cover one dollar per acre for half the treated pasture, plus 50 cents per acre for retreatment within two years. Up to 80 acres can receive aid per applicant. Total cost for 138000 acres is 227700 dollars. The program starts this summer amid topography limits. George Hutton announces McGowan will take over as provincial veterinary supervisor effective April 1, overseeing veterinary services and liaison work with Manitoba Livestock health agencies. Dr McGowan, Ontario Vet College graduate, will lead veterinary investigations and be based in Winnipeg.
