The Rural Council met in Biniota for a Court of Revision and general business. They instructed the secretary to advertise in the local paper for applications for Weed Inspector Collector of Poll tax and Assessor for 1927, with salary stated and applications due. Many appeals and assessments were reviewed with several reductions and nonentertainments, plus road and bridge duties and grants to local organizations. The next meeting is set for April 2.

The Finance committee outlined two donation plans to Grace Hospital and to place a bed name plate if the joint sum reaches 100. Eggs were to be packed for The Home of the Friendless in April.

Canada sowed 16 percent of world wheat on 225 million acres with Alberta shifting away from pure wheat farming over the last 15 years. Wheat value formed 45 percent of Alberta's agricultural output totaling 266 million dollars. Western settlement surged in 1927 with CP trains bringing 400 newcomers to Winnipeg and Manitoba Saskatchewan Alberta and British Columbia receiving the rest.
