Boxard School Board meeting approves staff changes and bylaw vote
A Boxard school board meeting on Wednesday accepted resignations from several staff members and adjusted transport routes. The board reengaged John Spalding as secretary treasurer, authorized a cost agreement with the Royal Bank of Canada, and passed By-law No 25 on borrowing money. The Teachers' Committee listed new staff for various schools and the next meeting is at the chair’s call.

Memorial service honors Great War sacrifices at Miniota
In Miniota and surrounding districts a memorial service for those who paid the supreme sacrifice in the Great War was held Sunday afternoon. Reeve J R Lynch presided with district clergy. Major A M Pratt gave the address. Virden Citizens Band led a parade of Flower Girls and Scouts. the service was run by the local Canadian Legion. Afternoon offerings totaled 10 17, and the evening bon d concert raised 22 44.
