Farewell Social Honors Miniota School Couple
Mr. F C Denham principal of Miniota High School for three years and Mrs Denham teacher in room two for two years were feted at a community farewell social. Entertainment featured a cornet solo and piano trio by local musicians and an electric frying pan and copper flower basket were presented. The couple will move to Three Hills Alberta to work with the Evangelical Mission.

Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary Held for Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Arnold mark their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their Miniota home on June 17. Eliza Malaterre, born Fort Ellis Manitoba, is Mr. Arnold’s wife. he was born Fort Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan where his NWMP father served 1879 to 1883. Married Cupar Saskatchewan June 17, 1909, they lived Fort Qu’Appelle then St. Lazare Manitoba before retiring in Miniota. They have four sons and five daughters.

WI Picknic Brings Final Season meeting at Roadside Park
The WI held a Friday afternoon picnic at Roadside Park with 36 members present. Mrs. C W Ellerington presided. letters of thanks were read for the Arthritis and Rheumatism Society and Cancer Research. Invitations to Wynona Ladies Group tea on June 24 were accepted and reports from district and provincial conventions were given.
