The Miniota Red Cross sent items last week including 21 two way mitts five sleeveless sweaters sixteen socks six seamens socks seven aero caps three scarves four refugee sweaters two hospital shirts ten T-bandages fifty one towels ten handkerchiefs ten pair overalls one pair bloomers and donations of three afghans three quilts one baby sweater and bootees. The Glenlochar work supplied three sleeveless sweaters two seamens stockings five overalls one afghan.

Regional Convention of Manitoba School Trustees Assn Held
The Manitoba School Trustees Association regional convention met in town Friday with Dr R W Chalmers presiding. W Lindsay gave the welcome, followed by remarks from Ltr Rogers deputy minister of education J Dowsett Minnedosa HH Allen Virden EF Bell M L A Birtle Dr Wm Iverach Isabella and D L Cameron Manitou. Hon Ivan Schultz addressed on education equality and provincial standards. The event was among the largest and most successful yet and United WA served supper.
