Minota Council Opposes Rural Water Service Cuts
Municipal Council of Miniota met on June 13 1978 with Reeve V N Lockhart presiding. They adopted May minutes and May 26 June 9 meetings, discussed Mid West Mutual Aid fire district, approved Mutual Aid Operation Plan Annex 1, allocated cemetery grants, authorized attendees to a West Man meeting, declared August 7 1978 a Civic Holiday, approved May payments, accepted May financials, and decided to close Miniota and Rapid City CPR CN rail lines by end of 1978 and 1979 due to service gaps and costs.
