Winnipeg Visit and church services noted
Cranda items Mrs E O Hara and Mrs Kolae visited Winnipeg last week. Sunday services were led by Rev McCullough of Hamiota with the Salvation Army Band in charge of the morning service. The Parent-Teacher Association plans a picnic on Friday afternoon June 25 at the sports grounds. The WMS met Thursday in the church parlor with Mrs Collyer presiding in her absence. Mrs Welsh and Mrs A Dickey presented papers on the story of China and the leaflet was read by Mrs L Johnson.

The Miniota rural council met Monday and transacted several items including wiring for fencing at 10.14, paying 1000 to the provincial treasurer on Good Roads debentures, supplying insulin to indigent patients, adopting the 1933 Assessment Roll for taxation subject to act changes, leasing SW 121426 to Walker alleeby for three years on a one third crop basis, approving A E Bartley Old Age Pension, instructing solicitor to apply for land title sold in 1930, renting Crandall livery stable at 7 per month from April, continuing duties of the Weed Inspector, granting 15 to Crandall and Miniota villages for a concrete stable, and scheduling next meeting at the Reeve's call.
