16 570 Farmers Sign for All Risk Crop Insurance
WINNIPEG The Manitoba Crop Insurance Corporation reports about 16 570 farmers signed all risk contracts this crop year the second highest on record. Downey notes 1 100 fewer insureds than 1977 yet 2 000 more than 1976. 1 500 cancellations and 801 new contracts. Forage insurance contracts rise to 153 with 48 new silage corn plans.
