Community hall opens in Winnipeg with dance crowd
Willens new hall in Winnipeg opens with a May 19 dance attended by over 250. The McAuley Players staged The Poor Married Man to a large audience. 200 paid admissions. Tom Laidman’s screening of Kismet drew a crowded house. No show next week. Municipal School Board staff and trustees and their wives attended a banquet at Isabella with speeches on education. Methodist church choir hosted a Friday evening event with supper and a program including music and a presentation of a gold wrist watch to Mrs. J. R. Lynch. God Save the King closed services at Anglican church on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
