More District Happenings at Swan River Rodeo and Fair
Leonard Lelond and Bob Watters camped three days at Swan River to enjoy the rodeo and fair. Mrs. Wilf Lelond and Mrs. Evelyn Clarke also spent three days at the Swan River Fair. Wilf and David were exhibitors. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Clegg and Mr. and Mrs. Wes Lelond attended the rodeo at Morris last weekend. Construction has begun on Highway 24 from Arrow River to Crandall. A large stock pile of crushed gravel sits at the Arrow Faver corner hauled from Alvin Johnson's pit as farmers along the road move fences. Rodney Allan Gardham of Arrow River won second prize in Elmer's Summer Safety Contest.
