Manitoba Good Roads Association Builds Centennial Spirit
The Manitoba Good Roads Association, entering its 58th year, instituted a judging system in 1910 with Provincial Cup and Union of Manitoba Municipalities Shield. It oversees Road Maintenance, Best Farm Home Grounds, and Beautification competitions with 80 municipalities, 28 unincorporated villages, 34 towns and villages, and 8 cities. Four judging teams cover the province, traveling thousands of miles to evaluate projects and award trophies and diplomas. The drive aims to boost urban and rural appearance in celebration of the Centenary of our Country.

Birdtail River No.38 Divisional Board Meets at Shoal Lake
The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held a regular meeting at Shoal Lake on Monday July 17 1967 at 8 00 p m. Trustees present were Rankin Stimpson Fulton Selby Rapely Randell and Clark with E C Fouillard G Gregory G Edwards and representatives from Birtle Hamiota Shoal Lake and St Lazare. Motions adopted included approving July 13 minutes and paying four districts for operating retarded classes teachers salaries above grant and transportation costs. Adjournment set for July 21 1967 at 8 00 p m with discussions on temporary unit rentals and finalizing financial arrangements for Special Classes.

The couple will reside at Suite 20 St Moretz Apts 50 Carlton St Winnipeg after a wedding trip to the Dakotas Wyoming and Montana.
